A brilliant start of 2020 for Alliance Girls

From the start of the new year, the Alliance Girls and women's football programs have put their best foot forward.Alliance's women's football team has started their new season in the Women's Football League out of the Jebel Ali School in Dubai. Last season was not our best, but there are high hopes after the first two games in the new season. Alliance women's football team had their first match of the season against Leoni Blue, a new team in the league. The girls were able to capitalise on three opportunities leading them to a 3-2 win over Leoni Blue. The second week of competition brought a more difficult challenge for Alliance as they faced off against AC Milan Dubai. This exciting game was a nail bitter to the end. Alliance made a few mistakes in the first half, but came out on fire for the second half, placing high pressure on AC Milan's defence. This strategy worked well, resulting in Alliance's only goal of the match. Although well fought and exciting, Alliance Women's team took a loss of 3-1 against AC Milan. Currently, the girls are ranked 6th within the league, but there are high hopes for the rest of the season.Just like our women's team, our girl's football program has been busy competing in 2 Girls Community Football Tournaments. Not only, have we been impressed by these girls talent on the football pitch, but we have been amazed to see the level of sportsmanship they have shown to all the other teams in Dubai. The Alliance girls football program has helped other organisations by offering their help to other teams in need of players in their break times. On the pitch, Alliance has had several victories, working together to place as high as second. It is fair to say, we are very proud of our girl's accomplishments and look forward to seeing what these young ladies will do soon.
