More than 1700 teams gathered worldwide to participate in this year’s Gothia Youth World Cup.
Alliance FC’s U14s & U16s teams played against teams from Sweden, Italy, Guatemala & Mexico.
Alliance boys & girls gained valuable experience both on & off the pitch as we continued to visit the beautiful city of Gothenburg.
Our day usually started with a walk to the city’s library for 30 minutes reading session; this helped with getting a laser-sharp focus for the matches.
The U16s were unlucky to lose on penalties to a Mexican team in the playoffs.
The U14s finished runners-up in the group stage but lost to a team from Guatemala.
We’re looking forward to next year’s trip, including Sweden, Denmark & Norway.
